OMAHA'S BEST
BREAKFAST SANDWICHES
There are few things more satisfying than the classic breakfast platter; what’s better than bread, eggs, and salty proteins?
The only way to improve on that is getting all the elements in one composed bite. That’s the beauty of the breakfast sandwich.
Breakfast sandwiches are one of my great loves, so I scoured Omaha’s best breakfast and brunch joints in search of the best. Only one sandwich was considered at each location; if a restaurant had more than one on the menu, I tried to ask the owner which they considered their signature offering.
I havenβt tried every breakfast sandwich in Omaha, but after months of research, these are, in one manβs opinion, the cream of the crop. All sandwiches are rated on a scale of 1-10.
***Only regular menu items or specials offered at least once per month were considered for this list.***
BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES IN OMAHA
1. Dirty BirdsβBEC Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 9.9
Few food items in Omaha balance the line of salty/sweet better than the BEC Sandwich at Dirty Birds. The first thing that hits your tastebuds is the tart sweetness of the blackberry caramel slathered on the bottom bun, which works with the bacon, candied in brown sugar, to give the sandwich a good deal of sugar.
But the saltiness of the hash browns, perfectly cooked egg, and melty blanket of American cheese balance the sweetness beautifully, and the house made bun provides a soft, pillowy landing spot that holds this mountain of a sandwich together. What moved this sandwich to the top of my list is texture: the hash browns and bacon are both fried well, giving the sandwich a great crunch.
2. Saddle Creek Breakfast ClubβCali Club
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 9.8
This is the near breakfast sandwich perfection. The amount of rich elements in SCBC‘s sandwich, from the creamy avocado to the fatty bacon, runny yolk from the sunny side egg, chipotle cream cheese, and buttery croissant, might seem to be too much.
And yet all the elements balance each other beautifully. The smooth, luscious texture of the avocado and cream cheese is a brilliant contrast to the chewy-crispy bacon, the egg is cooked beautifully, and the Le Quartier croissant is perfectionβcrumbly, flaky, and filled with so much butter it leaves a sheen on your fingers every time you pick it up.
3. Lemon Tree CafeβThe Phoenix
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 9.7
Lemon Tree Cafe gathers up all the breakfast classicsβbuttery, supple scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, savory sausage pattiesβand loads them inside a crusty yet soft sourdough roll. It’d be a great sandwich if it stopped there.
But two surprise elements set this sandwich over the top. There’s a schmear of jalapeno cream cheese that adds a smooth creaminess and cuts through all the salt, and the grilled cheese skirt (you read that right) drapes a blanket of crispy, salty cheese over the eggs.
There’sΒ a lotΒ of bread in this sandwich, which makes it an absolute mess to eat. But I’ll happily look like a complete monster if I can eat this again and again and again. Sorry to all the napkins sacrificed for the glory of this wondrous sandwich.
4. MealboxβSunday Slammer Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 9.4
Holy smokes, this is aΒ sandwich, and it bounces around every profile of the flavor spectrum. Mealbox‘s beast of a sandwich is rich, greasy, and fattyβit’s an indulgent meal. But it’s also well-balanced and bursting with flavor.
The biscuit is perfectly buttery and flaky and stays together remarkably well considering all the elements it has to hold: a sweet maple sausage patty (the size of a burger patty), thick cut bacon, a fried egg, and a sharp, tangy Prairie Breeze & Jalapeno Cheddar spread. Cutting all the heaviness and fat is a delightful caramelized onion and maple butter that melts right into the biscuit and lightens the entire dish.
And to think that Mealbox, a delivery service, created something this incredible when it comes out of aΒ microwave. If this were freshly made, it would have an argument for the top spot.
5. Know GoodβThe Classic
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 9.2
The problem with bagel breakfast sandwiches is the bagel is often too hard and crusty to work in sandwich form. You take that first bite and all the contents spill out the backside.
That’s not a problem at Know Good, which bakes its own bagels to somehow achieve the impossible: a crispy exterior with a squishy, chewy middle, ensuring each bite is hearty but keeps the sandwich in place. The eggs are smooth and buttery, and they’re absolutely flowing with rich cheddar cheese. The sandwich can be ordered with bacon or sausage; I recommend the latter, as this thick puck adds a nice pepper-y touch.
Topping it all off is “good sauce”, a honey sriracha aioli that brings a creamy element with a sweet heat. Everything just plays in concert on this sandwich.
6. Sandwich ProperβProper Breakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 9.0
This is a very exclusive sandwich, as Sandwich Proper is a farmers market stand that only serves on Sundays at the Aksarben farmers market, and it sells out most weeks. But it’s worth making the effort to get your hands on it.
The sausage, a special blend from Wahoo Locker, is juicy and moist with a peppery spice. It pairs beautifully with the sweetness of the jammy caramelized onions and the milky white cheddar, and the soft, sweet brioche is happy to hold everything in. If anything, the over medium egg can be a bit overcooked, but it still has a properly runny center and crispy edges.
7. All in ThymeβHam & Bacon
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.9
The attention to detail in every element of All in Thyme’s sandwich, along with its brilliant balance of sweet and salty, makes it stand out. It all starts with a house made English muffin, a squishy, soft pillow with crispy edges and all kinds of pores to soak up sauces and juices.
The bacon is slightly chewy and of very high quality, and it layers on salt with the smoky ham. Stone ground mustard helps cut through the salinity, but its the house onion jam’s stick sweetness that truly brings balance to the sandwich.
8. A Catered AffairβBreakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.9
A Catered Affair serves a relatively basic sandwich, but everything is extremely well cooked and seasoned. The bagel is soft and has a good chew, though it could use a tad more crispiness. The eggs are rich and custardy, and they’re enrobed with a healthy dose of nutty cheddar cheese. The bacon is what makes this sandwich special, though. It’s candied, giving it a nice sweetness that balances all of the other savory elements.
9. Corner KitchenβBreaky Sando
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.8
With multiple sausage patties, bacon, mayo, and melted cheese all inside a mayo-slathered croissant, this sandwich should be rich and heavy. And yet, it doesn’t eat that way, and the components come together to create a delicious, cohesive sandwich.
The sausage is juicy and well-seasoned, the bacon adds that beautiful punch only bacon can, while the mayo and gooey mozzarella/American cheese combo add the necessary moisture. The croissant is buttery, but not of the highest quality, and adding a little heat (chili crisp or salsa matcha, preferably) would make this a killer sandwich.
10. Lola'sβToastie
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.8
The beauty is in the simplicity at Lola’s. This sandwich only has 4 elements, but they’re all so well made and work so cohesively, it needs nothing more. The house made focaccia is rich, oily, and fluffy with a good chew. The scrambled eggs are about as spot on as you’ll find: supple, buttery, and well-seasoned, they’re a delight on their own, and the parmesan cheese adds the right touch of salt.
The only downside is the lack of prosciutto. Silky and salty, the quality of the prosciutto is great. But the single layer allows it to be covered up by the other elements of the sandwich. Another few slices would take this sandwich to another tier.Β
11. Early BirdβWonderful Day
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.7
If you like a balance of sweet and savory in your breakfast sandwich, the Wonderful Day from Early Bird is right up your alley. The sweetness of the syrupy, crispy candied bacon and housemade blackberry jam works wonders with the juicy, sage-forward sausage patty and fried egg, which happily spills its yolk everywhere.
The only downside to this sandwich is the buttermilk biscuit. The flavor of the biscuit is wonderful: buttery and with just the right amount of tang. But it’s too flaky and crumbly to serve as sandwich bread, making this a delicious but messy sandwich to consume.
12. WD CravingsβShort Rib Breakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: π
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.4
The short rib on WD Cravings‘ offering is among the most unique and delicious proteins you’ll find on an Omaha breakfast sandwich. It’s tender and bursting with luscious, savory flavor. That meat, combined with the nutty, creamy fontina cheese sauce, make this one of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches in the city.
What holds this back is the bread; in this case, an English muffin. It’s relatively small, as this was one of the more modest sandwiches on my Hunt. And the muffin doesn’t stand a chance of holding up to the combination of meat juices and creamy cheese. It inhales the liquid and becomes a greasy, messy starch. But when it comes to flavor, this sandwich is hard to beat.
13. Kitchen TableβChili Crisp Egg Biscuit Sandwich
Protein: N/A
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.4
Stay with me here, but imagine if a breakfast sandwich and Chinese takeout had a baby. That would be this sandwich.
It sounds wild, but the fluffy egg patty is infused with soy sauce and scallions to give it an Asian flair. It’s joined by a salty, umami chili crisp jam and a green goddess that adds a whisper of herbaceous freshness to an other wise salty sandwich. The standout is the biscuit, which is buttery and flaky yet maintains its integrity and doesn’t fall apart in the least.
The main miss with this sandwich is the lack of a protein. If Kitchen Table slid a few slices of their incredible baconΒ between this biscuit to bring some crunch and fat, it would jump several levels on this list.
14. Karma KoffeeβBreakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.3
Customization is king at Karma Koffee, as you can choose your own adventure with the bread, proteins, and cheese. I opted for an everything bagel with bacon & sausage, gouda, and an add-on of sriracha maple.
The bagel, sourced from the legendary Bagel Bin, is excellent: firm but chewy and with a pleasant garlic flavor. The sausage patty is more sweet than pepperyβa nice change of paceβand the nutty gouda is melted beautifully to drape over the other ingredients. The bacon is shatter crispy, but it’s the sweet heat of the sriracha maple that makes this an excellent breakfast sandwich.
15. For the Love of Food CafeβIM-Pressed Blueberry Brioche Brekkie Sammy
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.3
The combination of the sweetness of the blueberry brioche and the acidic heat of the pickled jalapenos is really fun, and it’s completely unique among Omaha breakfast sandwiches. The egg is cooked to a tender fluffy consistency, and the melty cheddar and house aioli meld into one creamy, rich condiment. The bread is also buttered and toasted nicely, giving each bite a buttery crunch.
The sausage and ham are rather plain, though they’re grilled nicely. Added bonus: this sandwich is served with a sidecar of sausage gravy if you prefer to dip.
16. Le QuartierβBreakfast Sandwich Sausage & Cheddar
Protein: π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.2
Le Quartier is a bakery best known for its bread and pastries, so it’s no surprise that the croissant is the star of this sandwich. It’s light and airy with more flaky layers than one can count, and each bite brings forth a rich, buttery flavor.
The sausage is hard and overcooked, but it works well with the cheddar and the egg is cooked well. What moves this sandwich up a few spots on the list is the moist, tangy garlic cream cheese.
17. Good Lookin'βAvocado Goat Cheese Breakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.1
The avocado and goat cheese added interesting, unexpected elements to Good Lookin‘s breakfast sandwich, as each added a creamy, luscious consistency that doubled as a sauce. The over medium egg was cooked perfectly, and though the bacon didn’t have a ton of flavor, it was crispy.
If this sandwich has a weak point, it’s the bread. I respect Good Lookin’ for making their English muffins in house and these have good structure and integrity, but don’t add a ton of flavor to a sandwich otherwise bursting with it.
18. Harold's Koffee HouseβBreakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 8.0
Harold’s Koffee House forms each sausage patty by hand, and you can taste the additional effort. The sausage is tremendously juicy and has a deeply meaty, savory flavor. The fried egg is a touch overcooked, but it’s swimming in a beautiful blanket of cheddar cheese that adds back any moisture the egg is missing. The bagel exists simply to deliver the ingredients; it doesn’t have a ton of flavor, but it’s sturdy and has a nice chew.
19. Shirley's DinerβCroissant Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.8
Croissants can be hit or miss with breakfast sandwiches; they must walk that very thin line between being flaky enough to have the right consistency, yet sturdy enough to make a sandwich. The croissant at Shirley’s Diner achieves both goals, adding a buttery finish to each bite. The softness of the bread is a great contrast to the crisp, delicious bacon, and the avocado (a worthy $2 addition) brings a creamy consistency.
The scrambled eggs and cheese get a bit buried and don’t add much flavor, and overall the sandwich ate a bit dry; a touch of sauce or more cheese would take it up a level. Pro tip: load some hash browns into the sandwich to add a salty crunch.
20. Good EvansβBreakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.7
Good Evans‘ breakfast sandwich has a lot of layers to it, but for the most part, the components work pretty cohesively. The smoked ham has a pleasant char and smokiness and the bacon, while it could be crisper, brings a salty punch. The Swiss cheese is melted beautifully, injecting a gooey creaminess into each bite, while tarragon aioli adds a mild freshness.
The over-hard eggs are well-seasoned but lack the crispy, golden-brown edges that make this style of egg great. And the sourdough bread is a tad overtoasted and can do a number to the roof of one’s mouth. But overall, the flavors and textures come together harmoniously.
21. Lisa's Radial CafeβRadial Breakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.5
Few Omaha breakfast sandwiches are simpler than the version at Lisa’s Radial Cafe, but this sandwich proves you don’t need cutting-edge ingredients to make a good breakfast sandwich. It only employs an over hard egg, American cheese, and buttered toast (I added sausage at the owner’s suggestion), but the elements work together really well.
The richness of the butter in the bread and the gooey cheese is balanced beautifully by the heat and pepper in the sausage patty and the savory, salty egg. It’s basically what you’d get if you combined a grilled cheese and a breakfast sandwich; nothing crazy innovative, but something definitely worth ordering.
22. Veg.EdibleβBreakfast Sandwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.5
Veg.edible stands alone as the only vegan restaurant on my list, but it was judged by the same standards. The gluten free bread was toasted nicely and had a pleasant chew, and the Beyond Sausage had a nice peppery flavor (though it was a bit dry). What made the sandwich was the garlic parmesan aioli, which brought a nutty creaminess.
The eggs were the big drawback on this sandwich. Using JUST Egg, Veg.edible cooked them well and made them look like scrambled eggs, but they didn’t have that same rich, creamy quality. To take this sandwich to the next level, take the deliciously greasy hash brown patty that comes with the meal and put it on the sandwich.
23. Bailey'sβBagelwich
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.5
Bailey’s Bagelwich scores high on the protein and carb, with thick cut, delicious bacon and a crispy, chewy everything bagel from Bagel Bin. The bagel has good structure, but isn’t so firm that everything spills out on first bite.
What holds this sandwich back are the eggs. Though the cheddar adds a nice sharp note, they’re a bit overcooked and rubbery. And without a sauce, the sandwich eats a bit dry.
24. Nite Hawkes CafeβEgg & Cheese Croissant
Protein: π₯π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.5
This sandwich typically comes with one meat: bacon, ham, or sausage. But the bold can add all three for a behemoth that’s nicknamed “The Beast”, and with good reason.
All the meats are cooked exceptionally, as the ham has good char marks and smokiness, the bacon is crispy and has the right amount of fat, and the house sausage patty is juicy and well-seasoned. The over hard egg has good flavor, but this sandwich could’ve used the runny yolk; with so much meat and no sauce, it reads a bit salty and dry. But the biggest sin was the unmelted American cheese, a flaw that could be fixed by 5 seconds under the salamander.
25. Great Harvest Bread Co.βThe Griddler
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.4
Any fans of the McDonald’s McGriddle just found their new favorite breakfast sandwich, as this locally-made version puts Ronald to shame. Great Harvest Bread Co. is famous for its cinnamon chip bread, which is hearty and has just the right amount of cinnamon chips to give that warm sweetness without turning into dessert. The egg patty is relatively flavorless, but the sausage adds a savory partner for the bread and a delightful drizzle of maple syrup to play with. One drawback: it’s very small.Β
26. Fig.βBacon Egg & Cheese
Protein: π₯π₯
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.2
The hero of this sandwich at Fig. is the pan de mie bun, a super soft roll with a buttery sheen, thin, crispy edges, and just the right amount of sweetness. The scrambled eggs are cooked well and folded into a supple parcel before being adorned with cheese and paired with crispy strips of bacon. It’s a very well-balanced sandwich, though more cheese or a swipe of mayo would’ve added welcome moisture.
27. Vidlak's Family CafeβEggstacy
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.1
There’s nothing wrong with this BLT/breakfast sandwich matchup at Vidlak’s Family Cafe. The rye bread is flavorful and toasted nicely, the mayo adds a creamy consistency, and the tomatoes bring a pop of juice to each bite. Everything on this sandwich is cooked well, and it goes together. It also doesn’t truly stand out in any way, and it could be improved with more bacon and an egg with a runny yolk (as opposed to the over-hard eggs). But it’s a solid sandwich that absolutely gets the job done.
28. Sausage Egg & CheeseβBronco's
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: ππ
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.1
Bronco’s breakfast sandwiches are exactly what they promise to be: fast, fatty, and greasy. But these are not your typical fast food breakfast sandwiches. The small details, like the buttered, toasted English muffin and the proper cooking of the bacon, make this a sandwich I’d be as happy to eat sitting in the restaurant as I would driving to work.
The over hard egg is cooked well, lending its eggy flavor to every bite. Of the two proteins, I preferred the rich, peppery sausage over the bacon, though I have to commend Bronco’s for getting a good crispy texture on the strips. Both are adorned with a swath of gooey American cheese, which just adds that rich creaminess.
These are not gourmet sandwiches by any means. But if you’re on the go, they’re a surprisingly great option.
29. Gandolfo'sβEastport
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: πππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄π΄
Overall: 7.0
The pastrami is a fun wrinkle, and Gandolfo’s does it well. Sliced thin, the pastrami adds a bold, peppery, spiced flavor. It’s not the best pastrami you’ll find, but it adds a savory curveball.
The eggs are overcooked and a bit rubbery, though the kaiser roll adds a soft landing bed for the sandwich. Its biggest sin, however, is that the bread is untoasted, making this sandwich a compilation of soft elements. If the bread had that texture and crunch, it would be much better.
30. Bagel BinβEgg Mitt Bagel
Protein: N/A
Bread: πππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄
Overall: 6.8
Bagel Bin is beloved for its namesake, and these bagels make excellent sandwiches. The bagels have good chew with soft, elastic centers and more robust outer shells. The everything bagel has a good amount of seasoning and garlic flavor.
Nothing about this sandwich was bad, but it was a bit lacking. The baked egg is a bit rubbery and the slice of American cheese (lightly melted) doesn’t add much punch. And as Bagel Bin is a kosher restaurant, it doesn’t offer pork products like bacon or sausage. Given how elite Bagel Bin‘s bagels are, I’d recommend buying a dozen and making your own at home if you want some protein.
31. Cafe PostaleβChive Biscuit & Sausage Sandwich
Protein: π₯
Bread: ππππ
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄
Overall: 6.6
On the plus side, the biscuit isΒ excellent. It’s so rich and buttery that it leaves a glossy sheen on your fingers. If this were simply a biscuit with some jam, it would score very highly.
But as a sandwich, it doesn’t quite work. The amount of butter hurts its integrity, and it crumbles apart after a few bites. The egg is overcooked and the sausage patties have very little flavor. The melt of American cheese is spot on, contributing to the rich indulgence of the sandwich.
33. Flora CafeβHuevo-Wich
Protein: π₯π₯
Bread: π
Eggs: π₯π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄
Overall: 6.7
The eggs are seasoned were and are properly moist, and the combination of the refried beans and smashed avocado adds a rich, luscious element to the sandwich. It can be ordered with any protein and the birria beef, though quite dry, does have a nice savory flavor.
This sandwich’s biggest problem is everything was soft. It has no crunchy elements and the bread isn’t toasted, so it’s very one-note. And as such, you take one bite and most of the elements spill out the backside. It’s a fun Mexican spin on the breakfast sandwich, but the different pieces don’t really come together well.
34. Corvette CafeβBlackstone Club Champion
Protein: π₯π₯π₯
Bread: π
Eggs: π₯π₯
Flavor: π΄π΄
Overall: 6.4
The bacon was plentiful and crispy, giving each bite a crack of salty pork. The avocado and mayo worked in tandem to give a creamy consistency and a rich feeling to the sandwich.
But the bread wasn’t buttered or toasted; it was wheat bread from a bag. And though the egg was cooked properly, it wasn’t seasoned enough and had very little flavor.
Keep in mind, this is just one man’s opinion. What I might not prefer in a breakfast sandwich, you might love (and vice versa). And while some sandwiches scored higher than others, I genuinely enjoyed eating every single one of these. We’re blessed with some great breakfast joints in Omaha, and this hunt allowed me to experience many of them in a new light.
